Review: Gina Fritz ft. Whitney Peyton "Remedy" Single
Written by Linette Ray
Connecticut based pop rock singer Gina Fritz just released her single “Remedy” (feat. Whitney Peyton) and it’s a song you definitely don’t want to miss. Fritz, who originally started as a member of the alternative-pop duo Keyed Up has stepped into the solo artist world with a pulsing, catchy single that focuses on the “push and pull” kind of relationships that many people find themselves in.
The track is upbeat and edgy as Fritz gives off a vibe that’s reminiscent of early Paramore. Of the song, Fritz states “You can’t help someone who doesn’t want to be helped. You’ll only end up consuming yourself with their problems and you find yourself in the same situation. You have to know when the time is right to walk away.”
The inclusion of Whitney Peyton, a Philadelphia rapper and singer, as well as the other half of Keyed Up, definitely made the difference in the tune. The way Peyton joined seamlessly, adding the hint of her rap sound, made the song extra unique and definitely made it a stand out.
Keep your ears and eyes open for Gina Fritz because this track most definitely showed that she’s here to take over the music scene!
